Going Mass is truly rewarding and inspiring deeds. If you’d like to spend a few days attending mass, Bataan is a great choice too.
More or less, the 75% population of Bataan are Christians. And they do have a limited number of churches around.
Though beautifully preserved, every church is not just another pretty face. Whether you’re just passing through or planning to stay, these churches are definitely worth a look.
One of the most visited church in Town is “The St. Joseph Cathedral” which is located within the City of Balanga. A quick walk to the park where is the main commercial hub, with shops and other services are located. St. Joseph Cathedral has the feel of a busy town center but not too much. It has an attractive revitalized downtown square lined, next to the pedestrian walk way.
Next is the “St. Peter Parish” another catholic church in Hermosa Bataan. The church itself was half devastated by the shock occured, back few years ago. But despite of what happened, surprisingly it was widens out and restored carefully.
Another church that you can visit is the “Church of Holy Rosary Parish” in Orani, Bataan. There have been improvements in infrastructure and amenities but somehow, the church has always been known as one of the beautiful church in the province.
These churches are easy to find. Including you could afford to visit here comfortably. The locals here are very warm, outgoing, friendly and accepting, too. And that creates a nice atmosphere for people who drop in here. That is why i fell in love with the place and the people, it did not disappoint me. Most early mornings and nights of every sunday when mass get started the province really comes more alive. There is plenty here to keep us visiting. Add the abundance of volunteer opportunities, classes of all sorts, and inexpensive trips to nearby locations.
