Since I was a child it has always been my dream to travel around the world and meet people of different cultures and nationalities. That dream came to realized when I found a job in a foreign land. Then I started planning on what country or place to visit first. At that moment Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia popped up.
I started doing research about the culture and places to go to in Kuala Lumpur aside from The Petronas Twin Tower and of course Food cos I’m a Food lover so whenever I go to a place I would asked those locales their native delicacies even exotic ones if there’s any so I can try one of those.
So I booked a ticket to Kuala Lumpur with just a backpack on because I wanted to experience what those backpackers been doing with my passport of course and some money.
As the plane is on its final descend I could no longer contain my excitement when I saw the silhouette of The Twin Tower. Right after I’m done with the Malaysian immigration I immediately took a cab going to Kuala Lumpur City Center where the Twin Tower is located. Exhausted and drained after an almost 8 hours flight but all of it were gone when i already saw the Twin Tower. I was amazed of how it was beautifully design by an Argentinian architect Cesar Pelli.
Some people say that from afar the Twin Tower is like two people holding each other and never letting go amidst the circumstances that may come in between. Thus it made me think perhaps I will find that one person whom I could hold on to like that of the Tower.
While waiting for the marvelous tower to lit up I decided to roam around the area and buy some souvenirs to remind me of my visit. Because it is located near to a shopping mall I easily found some to buy. As soon as I bought everything, I wander and meet some locales there in their symmetrically landscaped park. Because it’s weekend in Malaysia so the park is full of people walking and just sitting there chatting with their family and some group of friends. The people there were friendly and welcoming it feels like I was in my hometown Philippines too.
I went to an Art Gallery and the KL Convention Center all were situated besides the Twin Tower so in just one area you will have so many things to do or visit. Later on at night I’ve been waiting for The Twin Tower in its stunning view. A scenic view in the heart of Kuala Lumpur. I was run out of adjectives to describe how grand the Twin Tower is when it lit up. I can sit there all night just staring at it and eventually fall in love with the spectacular view.
This ends my first day in Kuala Lumpur. Next activity is my food escapades in the Food Capital of Malaysia and my other whereabouts still in Kuala Lumpur. Let us all experience why Malaysia is said to be Truly Asia.
